ARTH-3376 Contemporary Chinese Art

This course covers the development of art in China from 1976 (post-Cultural Revolution) to the present, including performance art, easel painting, concept art, women's art, etc. Aesthetic and stylistic changes will be examined in historical, societal, intellectual, and cultural contexts.
